Dex.
Born in the Netherlands and raised in California, Dex Creed is a life-long seeker, story-teller, and creative. As the son of two designers, he grew up in a household full of art, creativity, and laughter. One of his earliest memories is throwing beanbags at a projected touchscreen prototype his father was working on at IDEO in Palo Alto. The urge to treat technology like playground equipment has never left him.
While attending college in Los Angeles, Dex worked for New York design house Bone+Black, as well as San Diego’s DDSTUDIO. These experiences sparked excitement for the creative process, and the desire to seek innovative solutions to challenging problems. Dex completed his degree in Social Justice at Occidental College, and began to seek opportunities to blend his love of art + design with his passion for improving the world around him.
Over the last decade, Dex’s career has focused on building teams of creative do-gooders to battle the forces of injustice and bad design. Using a Human Centered Agile approach to development and design, Dex has become an experienced agent of change. His most recent endeavors include creating digital student resources for an at-risk education program in Ventura, and creating data visualization dashboards at Adventist Health to create a more equitable health system for their patients.
Dex currently lives in Milwaukee, WI with his partner Brady and his cat Pluto. He enjoys cooking, 90s horror movies, and tabletop games.
